Free Yoga at the Bay

What to expect: We will start with yoga for roughly 50min followed by Pranayama (breath practice) for 5-10min led by Dr. Chandra (πŸ“Έ IG: sunfloweryogi_5g) and finish with Mantra Meditation for 10min led by Dr. Ravi. Yoga is normally advised to be practiced on an empty stomach. So we suggest trying your best to not eat anything heavy 2-4hrs before practice for maximum benefits.

The yoga practice is based on traditional Ashtanga style πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ. Variations will be given in all our classes especially for beginners, so please don’t be intimidated. Please feel free to bring your own supplies (mat and water) and yoga props e.g. yoga blocks, yoga straps. We follow this by 1 or 2 types of Pranayama.

The final part of the program is Sankirtana. Sankirtana is an effective form of mantra meditation in the style of song involving both instrument and vocals. Ravi will sing the mantra for us to listen to or we have the option to repeat it back in song. There are no expectations from Sankirtana, other than to relax the mind and lighten the mood.

Please note that gratuity is not accepted for this class. This is a journey and there is no need to try to compete with others. Take it easy, don’t push your body, and just let it flow. Put emphasis on your breath to ease into asanas, and have fun!

The meeting point will be either close to the lifeguard tower/newly built bathrooms OR under the shady trees 50 meters East (opposite direction of the Pacific Ocean) from the newly built bathrooms close to the parking lot P.S. ample free parking in Bonita cove parking lot. We generally try to finish around 11.15 am
