Yin Yoga & Sound Healing | Wednesdays| Riffs Yoga

Join Jeny on Wednesday mornings for Yin Yoga & Sound Healing under the sunshine on the beautiful redwood deck at Riffs Yoga Studios. Enjoy the ocean breeze, lush greenery and birds singing.
Yin Yoga is an introspective practice that offers a chance to turn inward and nurture the calm, quiet center that is innate in all of us. Most postures are seated or reclined with 3-7 minute holds. Holding each posture while relaxing the muscles allows the deeper, dense connective tissues (or fascia) to be safely and therapeutically stretched, stimulated and strengthened.
This style of yoga will challenge the mind to remain present while physically and mentally releasing tension. Sound healing, when used in combination with Yin Yoga, reduces stress and anxiety, and encourages positive effects on the nervous system, sleep cycle, mood, and immune system. The vibration and frequency of the instruments helps to relax and let go of tension.
Expect to leave this class relaxed and renewed with a sense of calm energy. Beginner friendly – open to all levels!
